What is the difference between the 5090 and 7090 type cooling pad of evaporative air cooler

The cooling effect of evaporative air cooler(environmental protection air conditioners) depends entirely on the materials of the cooling pad (wet curtain), because this is one of the core cooling components of air cooler equipment. And important indicator of air cooler quality, XIKOO use the dense 5090 cooling pad, there are some manufacture use 6090type , even 7090type. What is the difference ? and what is the different cooling effect of the air cooler?

The cooling pad (wet curtain) is divided into two types with wave heights of 5mm and 7mm, which is what we often call the 5090 type and the 7090 type. The corrugations are staggered at 45×45 degrees. , It has the characteristics of high water absorption, high water resistance, mildew resistance and long service life.

The evaporation surface of the 5090 type cooling pad has larger surface, and its density is much higher than that of the 7090 type cooling pad paper. The specific three-dimensional space structure provides the maximum evaporation surface area for the heat exchange between water and air. The specific surface area of the 5090 type water cooling pad is about 450㎡ , the evaporation cooling efficiency is more than 90%, and its evaporation rate is higher and more complete than the 7090 type water cooling pad;

5090 type water water cooling pad does not contain surfactants, naturally absorbs water, spreads quickly, and has a long-lasting effect. The natural water absorption height is 60-70mm/5 minutes, 200mm/hour, with very good penetration and water absorption;

5090 type water cooling pad (wet curtain)  density is higher than that of 7090 type  water cooling pad paper, when the water completely wets the water cooling pad evaporating surface and flows downward, it will continuously flush the air passing through attached to the water cooling pad evaporating surface. When the machine is running, it can quickly purify and filter out some harmful gases and dust carried in the external air entering the machine cavity, so that the cool air blown by the air cooler is cleaner, fresh and cool.
